    Emerson motor Plate switch Maximize

    Emerson motor Plate switch

Plate Switch for the Emerson 1 & 1/8th Hp Motor

This motor has been fitted to the Shopsmith Mark V model 500 and later 510 onwards

It is commonly seen in many older Shopsmith Mark V 500 and later 510 models and is a strong and robust motor.

If these motors go wrong it may well be due to a number of problems such as:-

    • a burnt out capacitor
    • A plate (winding) switch fault
    • A centrifugal switch fault
    • siezed bearings
    • A short circuit in the windings

All of these issues can be addressed currently with items held in stock.

I have a first class electrician who is fully conversant with the workings of these motors and can provide an excellent refurbishment of them.

Please contact me for advice on any problems with your motor.
